What is PTMC Enhanced Networking?

This systematic and effective tool brings you together with other professionals, one-on-one over breakfast or lunch, so you can learn about each other’s businesses, build rapport, and begin the process of becoming referral sources for each other. You choose when and how often you want to participate, 1-4 meetings per month, and then all you do is show up at the restaurant; you’ll have already selected your meal and it will be paid for…so your focus is totally on connecting.

It sounds simple…and it is. Here are answers to some of the questions we frequently receive about the process:

Q. What kind of businesses join PTMC?
A.
We have a real mix of business to business and business to consumer type professionals in our membership. The reason why it attracts such a broad spectrum, from piano teacher to lube oil shop, real estate to legal, chambers of commerce to business coaches is because our members understand, as I’m sure you do, that networking isn’t about the person you are sitting across from, it’s about the 200 plus people in that persons mental rolodex.

Q. Do I need to sign a contract that commits me to an Enhanced Networking membership?
A. No. We want people to remain part of our community because they’re getting value from the connections they make…not because they’re mandated to stay.

Q. What if I’m already a member of BNI/Chamber/Etc…
A. That’s great! We encourage our members to be part of multiple networking groups. We don’t want to replace your other networking efforts, we find that for really very little money we can compliment your existing efforts. We wouldn’t have a 93% renewal rate if Enhanced Networking wasn’t one of the most effective methods of networking out there. 
Another way to look at it, is to use it as a great way to find referrals for the people in your group. We are often so busy with our own business that we find it difficult to stop and look for opportunities for the group members. This allows you to allocate time to do that.

Q. Can I get exclusivity?
A. We do not guarantee exclusivity, but what we do guarantee is that you will never meet with someone in the same business as you, or ever meet the same person twice. We do, however cap our membership from any one industry at 10%…so that way you get a good mix of businesses when you go for lunch.

Q. Can I choose the date and time?
A. Absolutely. This is a huge differentiator over traditional networking, when you’re told where and when to be. We issue a monthly calendar and take reservations on a first-come, first-served basis.

Q. Can I pick the person with whom I meet?
A. No. Part of the beauty of Enhanced Networking is that we pair you randomly, so you have no pre-conceived notions about your dining partner. Successful networkers understand that every contact can be a potential gold mine…since you have the chance to be introduced to anyone that person knows.

Q. Can you tell me something about the meeting venues?
A. We have many hotels and bistro level restaurants that have teamed with us to offer locations for Enhanced Networking…and we’re adding new places that offer atmospheres conducive to networking all the time. Q. What if I get some loud mouthed high pressure sales person?
A. The people who sign up for Enhanced Networking are NOT your slick salesmen types. PTMC is attractive to people who see value in building strong relationships, not people who want to speed through and only take what they can get and run. So if you’re worried about some big loud guy putting a high pressure sales pitch on you, our program simply doesn’t attract people like that.

Q. What happens if the other person doesn’t show up?
A. Our members take this very seriously. In the unlikely event that this occurs, you’ll receive 2 free lunch credits to make up for the inconvenience. (Note: If you ARE the person who does not show up, it is your responsibility to pay for these lunches. Cancellations should be made 36 hours in advance to avoid uneccesary inconvenience to other members and charges)

Q. Do I need to leave a gratuity after my meal?
A.
No, PTMC looks after that for you. PTMC includes that as part of your meeting charge and pays it in advance to the restaurant.

What does it cost to get involved and start connecting?

You’ll pay a one-time administrative fee of $36.75 and then a monthly membership fee of $10 inclusive of tax.

Your subsequent charges will be based on the frequency with which you participate.

Each meeting is $25 inclusive of tax and gratuity and is billed at the time of booking.

We also offer discounts that allow you to save up to 40% on your monthly membership fee. You are going to use the meetings anyway – why not save money on your membership fee!!

  • 20% Discount – Automatically process payment for 1 meeting per month (unused meetings in one month may roll over to the following month)
  • 30% Discount – Process your membership fees semi-annually and automatically bill for 1 meeting per month (as above)
  • 40% Discount – Process your membership fees annually and automatically bill for 2 meetings per month (as above)
